What do transnational Service-Learning projects look like?

Students from Germany and Portugal explore real social needs in their communities, exchange ideas with representatives from civil society organizations, organize research visits to their partner country AND then discover and reflect together on local challenges and develop initial ideas for concrete civic engagement projects

As part of the Erasmus+ project “Digital Changemakers” upper secondary school students from Spain exchange ideas with German high school students on the topic of fake news as part of the 2024 European elections AND set up a campaign against fake news to sensitize their fellow citizens to false information and increase voter turnout in their countries

Students engage with various types of poetry, write German-language poems on the topic of peace AND translate them into several languages together with students from a Czech partner school on-site. Two new stations of the Global Peace Path are thus created in Herne and Prague

Students from five European countries collaborate online on digital democracy topics such as online safety, fake news, hate speech, and cyberbullying. Together, they develop an e-book about the internet as a global space, featuring information, e-safety games, and puzzles
